bishopmorton2There was an article released this week by a blogger stating, “We in the church community are well aware of Bishop Paul S. Morton plans to vacate the church pulpit this coming year”. One of our new staffers here at joy105.com republished this blog and made it church news, but it was wrong information.

We stay away from rumor mill stories and try to present you our readers with informative correct information. Normally, if you see a story published on joy105.com Digital Magazine it is a story that has been published by mainstream media or verified by parties involved.

This story caused people to be confused as to the plans of Bishop and Pastor Debra Morton. I thank Bishop Greg Davis for shooting me a personal text to let me know this blogger had posted the wrong info and my office re-published it.

The clarity and truth directly from Pastor Debra B. Morton:

“We’re not retiring from church pulpits yet, only Bishop from @FGBC”.

We want to remain a reliable source for christian media that you can count on, therefore we had to bring clarity to the article. BTW, Bishop and Pastor Debra celebrated their 38th Wedding Anniversary yesterday that’s rare in this day! We wish them many, many more!
