Steve Harvey celebrated his 60th birthday a little early with surprise visits from singer-songwriters Stevie Wonder and Usher Raymond at his WMAQ-Ch. 5 studio Monday.
“Steve Harvey” producers transformed Harvey’s daytime set to look like a traditional late-night show with a host desk and guest couch for taping of the special episode.
Wonder performed “Happy Birthday” with Harvey’s family gathered around the piano. Raymond, who was spotted at Eataly in River North Monday, did not perform. He did let Harvey wear his Cleveland Cavaliers championship ring during the taping. Raymond is a part-owner of the team, while Harvey grew up in Cleveland.
The episode is set to air Jan. 17, the day Harvey turns 60.
